It's official!!! I start my new *PERM* job on Oct. 1 2004!!!! :D
by Elsewhere ini have been working at at my current job as a contract worker since feb this year.
for about five years i have been doing contract/consulting work and i've gotten very very tired of the instability, so i started looking for a perm position.. last year, at almost this same time, i got a perm job where my supervisor was a jw... it didn't take very long for me to be "laid off" after he found out i was an ex-jw.
for a few months my supervisor has been talking about hiring me as a perm employee, but nothing was ever certain.

CO visit: what's the big deal?

was abuzz with activity because the co was there to visit that particular week.
the whole meeting schedule was changed for the week, people were putting extra hours in service, etc.

My dad was an elder and wanted to be a C.O sooooo bad. He would relentlessly brown nose the C.O. The thing I hated most about the C.O.'s visit was cleaning up for him before he came! The entire congregation had to get together and clean the Kingdom Hall so it sparkled when he arrived. One time, an elder reamed me out because I left streaks on the glass panel of "School 2"
My father would say what an "honor and a priviledge" it was to clean for the C.O.

How much harm have you caused your congregation?
by Joker10 inhow much harm did you cause to the people in your congregation?
everybody complains how the witnesses did this and that and in the process caused so much harm.
but what you don't say is how much pain you caused others while you were in.

I used to talk about my friends behind their back a lot, because that's what all the girls did to each other. We were a bunch of backstabbing, bored little demons.
I used to break into my dad's briefcase and read his notes from his judicial committees. Then I would tell all the horrible juicy details about people's affairs and such to my little friends. We had a nice little circle of this gossip for a while until one of the girls finally told her parents that I was snooping.
Another thing I did to hurt people was have parties at my apartment after I moved out of my parents house before I was disfellowshipped. I would get some JW girls drunk with the cover story that they were at my house to help me spiritually! We got busted when we walked into the KH all hung over and smelling like cigars. I got up during the meeting to go to the bathroom and ended up tripping over an elder's bookbag. That was my last time in a kingdom hall. All the other girls that were at my house got in trouble that day.
Also, my dad told me that when I was disfellowshiped, lots of people cried.

Woke up with my finger in a can.

i don't know how the hell it happened!
what's worse, i panicked because it was stuck and i tried to yank it out.

I woke up today with my finger stuck inside a Mountain Dew can! I couldn't get it out! I don't know how the hell it happened!
What's worse, I panicked because it was stuck and I tried to yank it out. I cut my finger pretty badly!
Has anyone else ever woke up to something strange like this?
